It Has Been A Long While...

I do like my blog! However, I must confess, I abandoned it for a long while. So, maybe I can turn a new leaf and go back to writing? Hmm... Well, I will give it a shot. There is a whole lot to talk about, so let us get to it, shall we? " Don't Just Sit There. Do Something!" You see, I like to see businesses and people thrive. Their pain becomes my pain; their hurdles mine too. If it weren't so, why would I wake up aspiring for that morning sunshine, driven by their ambitions, teamed up with a necessity for the great pursuit. For whom; for what? Is it to be up held by the gentle relief, an ounce of 'better.' In wrapping these meandering good yet defined thoughts, I have come to the dear conclusions to roll-up sleeves of my own and all those who will and get involved. "Don't just sit there. Do something." I am reminded of that common wall paper that sits pretty in the washroom that were. If you will, manners and duty awaits.

Help - When You Know Where You Want To Go...

The Note To The Young Woman: When you know where you want  to go, it is easier to get the help you need to get there. Lately, I have encountered individuals  that come to me for help but need me to figure out what is wrong with them, before the journey begins. I am often happy to point many to the right direction. The thought that keeps my mind in deep agony is; I wish that many of the individuals coming to me for help would know at the very least the positive outcome or the vision that they have for themselves at the end of their journey. How can you see that far? Well, it may sound like a hard truth to take in right now. Allow me for one second will you, honestly start by confronting your demons. An inside introspection is the key to saying, "hmmm..now can we start the journey to healing."

Skill & Trade

Notes to the young woman : Find that one thing you want to do and do it over and over until you master it. Whatever it is:you will have found your trade and with time the skill and the hours will make it your work and your work will be your contribution to humanity. Lovingly, Trony Ingati

Where are you?

Note to the young woman: "It is a very cheap affair to look your best. I think these days we are lied to, often we go above and beyond our expenses to look beautiful, glamourous - whatever. You are beautiful the way you are. Are your teeth well cleaned? Wear that smile. That is -You." -Lovingly, T.

Poetic Melancholy

Every man can be a wonderful man but not every woman can be a wonderful woman (It is deliberate now I have your attention). See - men are made They are man-made See - women are woven They are womb made A man can be out-rightly what he wishes A woman no-she takes time A man is carefully ordered A woman carefully knitted Is it a paradox Is it a myth Am I messing with your supposed dialectic form of psychology Battering your head to a man-made wall? See - a lemon green or yellow Still is bitter and zingy - so is the man See the glass of lemonade -glass blown and all Sugar added to the lemon sweet and all -so is she that woman A man is  for a season A woman for four seasons A man is to the priesthood A woman to his anointing Let's have this discussion Call me callous- I'll say you made it As I lay myself to sleep To the tune of the birds that ruffle in their nests Allow for my analysis Every man can be a wonderful man but not every woman ca...

A few changes that can help you get rid of the weight...

Yesterday, I spoke to a long lost friend. We talked about life, her children and career. Her weight however was not making her happy and was bringing a drain to everything around her. I felt her pain and I realized that food information is still amiss in our society. Anyone who knows me very well will tell you I dance year in - year out. I teach classical ballet and when not in studio, I am running my business or covering news in health, agriculture and societal development affairs. Last year was very busy for me. I went back for higher education to do my masters degree in international relations. For an exact year and half I did not dance. I was busy studying, working on assignments and sitting through lectures. Over this period I have lost twelve kilos without much effort. So what did I do different? For starters I changed how I eat. I walked a whole lot and I breathed in fresh air. My favorite place to spend my leisure time was by the sea and walking through the woods. Tod...

The Daily Quote...

" A job will keep you. Passion will sustain you. Today stop job hunting and start passion hunting."

Olive Tree

I found an olive tree I found laughter I found sweet scents I found an olive tree With a sage green With a gold trunk I found an olive tree Other trees lay Little trees alike I found an olive tree Beautiful with the sunshine kissing through her A true inspiration I found an olive tree Hope for a tomorrow The aroma of a forever I found an olive tree Something good will happen Something good to you, to me, we, to all of us - if we find the olive tree.

My Promise...

We did not have much We made castles in the sky We fought battles strong and high He is my promise When the wind was up against us. When we did not have our baskets full When we could drive to the depths of the bells of death There he was -my promise I have climbed many hills and walked on many heels Painted on different canvas Painted hopes and dreams Yet he is my promise The tale goes on Ever so complex Yet so easy That's the promise Like a tomorrow A brooke of fresh water There will he find me And that's my promise

Life's Lessons in my Accordance...

Be easy, subtle yet assertive. You don't have to be rude to prove a point. Show up...Be it you want to do that 'project' or you are 'late' simply show up and get the job done. Bring something to the table...Bring ideas, charisma, whatever you may. Never show up empty handed and expect everyone to fill your cup. Laugh out loud or Reflect in loud...learn to reflect on your answers a little as well as what others say. Words shape you. Share good virtues...The world today is full of hurting people, try and give all a break and practice your good manners. Be an example and talk less...Listen and act more. See more, do more... 'Hope' and while you are at it give us some action. Pray, Meditate-find a connection of sorts. Live with something green in your house and take care of something green. Trust me, you will learn a lesson or two. Copyright.Trony Ingati | Amsterdam Zuid

The Devil called 'Yesterday'

Yesterday I got lost Originally I was destined somewhere As I looked round The more I got lost I found myself on a street This street looked strange It was so far off Far off the road The road of intention The road of attention The road had festering worms It's smell appalling It's inhabitants in short dresses Men who greeted and I could not respond I did not know their language I did not sing their tune I got off from that road Took a detour A boy with a bicycle swung past me His basket carrying two soft drinks Both fell to the ground I whispered 'sorry' He went his way And I promised  to say a prayer I wondered to myself How many live a life undeserved How many know not tomorrow Watch them Say a prayer for them They need it Perhaps more then I Perhaps more then you Talk of selling your soul to the devil The real devil is you!

When you meet a road block-Go figure!

There will be a day when you will wake up when things will get uncomfortable. When the sun will shine and you cannot feel its warmth. When that day comes, I want you to remember: If the ground is not shaken a garden may not grow. If a coal is not shaken  a diamond my never be. If water is not shaken a vessel may never contain it. If hair is not shaken, a beautiful style may never emerge. If books pages are not turned-shaken to be precise one cannot finish that book. If a bud is not broken a flower will never bloom and blossom. If  a drink is not shaken you might not have that mocktail or cocktail. Shaking, uncomfortable scenarios bring out the best of situations. So, if it is comfort for the long road ahead, keep walking till you reach your oasis.

A Rose...

A rose delicate A rose healing A rose fragrant Out of her beauty Out of her oil Out of her a delicacy She comes in many sheds She comes in many sizes She comes in many lengths You cannot mistake her for any other flower You need to tend to her You need to pamper her Too much sun you will cause her to wilt Too much water you will cause her to die Too much shed you will make her depressed She needs a garden She needs a gardener She needs love ~Excerpt: The challenge of a rose by Trony Ingati

A little secret...

In all your ways try to be modest. Try and walk brisk but surely. Eat one thing at a time, life is not a mélange. However, I have noticed everything is connected- breathe in easily and still master your territory. If your goal is to be different, you will need to unlearn  that by virtue of trying you are making an effort  to be like everyone else. So don't try - just be you. Remember the you we are looking for is the 'you' that you tend to be when no one is watching. Lastly, be simple. Simplicity is not complicated. Simplicity is fresh, its whole and its peaceful. ~life's little secrets

What I have seen...

In all my years I have seen... life, beauty, courage, strength, joy, peace, love. a fight, a flight, a power, a will, a time. hope, stupidity, calm, resurrection, a day. neglect, determination, diligence, average, ordinary, extraordinary. ~Trony

Breakfast...

What are you eating today? Breakfast is essential. Have a cup of tea or an apple. Always try to put something in your stomach before you start dealing with the demons or the angels of this earth. I have some ideas for you. Why don't you try: 1. Having a liter of water (try a glass if that is too much) by 6-7am 2. Have any fruit of your liking 3. Greek or plain yogurt (150gram) drizzled with honey or try a plant based yogurt if you don't take dairy. 4. Your cup of tea or coffee You will notice I have not told you to have a smoothie or drink juice. Chew your fruit. Say goodbye to bread but you will come back and eat it soon. I know you. I see you. These are my to go by essentials and if they work for me they just might work for you. I have plenty of other ideas do stick around for another breakfast truth. Yours truly, Trony

Changing Your Habit Loop...

To break the habit you need to change the habit. To change your habit you need to do something different. To do something different  you have to be committed. To be committed  you have to do whatever it is you have to do without any excuses. To get rid of  your excuses you need to change the habit. To change the habit you need to stay focused. To stay focused you need to do whatever it is you have committed  yourself to doing without expecting any reward. Wake up, show up and do the same thing until it becomes a healthy, good, better, the best habit, which I bet is why you took the time to read this. Remember it takes twenty-one plus days to form a habit. I am confident you will change the habit, if you give it a try. No more excuses, change your habit loop.

A Village and Her People...

Open my hut Open the door Open the bar Open your destiny Lay down your head Lay down quietly Look for your forefathers Look, seek you shall find Though I strangled you in the dead of the night Though I did not let you breath I have chosen to let you go I have chosen to give you your freedom celebration Nine times you shall go round Nine times you shall break their yolk Nine times you shall look to the hill Nine times you shall open the door What door my child? What hope my child? What love my child? What next my child? Beautiful beginnings I hold Beautiful plentiful seeds Beautiful land to sow Beautiful yields my dear I know your story I know your land I know your story I know your end Get the waters of the lake Get the coffee from the land Get the seeds Get them all as a covering Where it is green Where you hold your pot Where you only...
