Sparkle!

Life has no guarantees and the beautiful are not yet born right? But can you stand growing old? There is this famous aunt of mine called Tuffy. Aunt Tuffy never sees herself growing old. To her anything goes. The best bits of her life are summed up with make-up regimes, pulling skin and taking a million and one vitamins and minerals supplements. Since I am not her and with all respect, love her for who she is… Let’s try aging gracefully, shall we? The skin is the largest organ that we own. The younger you are the more tender and sensitive our skin might be. Women however, age faster than men. That should explain the very many beauty products that are on supermarket and cosmetic shelves. Regardless of our many differences, aging is dependant on three factors such as: age, genetics and lifestyle.  The tell signs of aging individuals are the presence of constant decrease in the naturally produced skin oils called sebum. Cup of Coffee vs. Going Bananas

Coffee…. More please. I love coffee. Without it I cannot read for my course work, catch with my friends, do business and talk to my amusing grand parents. The reality behind the coffee drink is that it has been around for centuries. There are different versions of coffee as well as variations. One can drink coffee strong, mild or weak. Depending on your personality and preference. Dr. Nathan Pritikin in his Book ‘The Pritikin Program for Diet and Exercise’ states “While the final verdict  on beverages containing caffeine is not yet, the research available raises grave suspicions about the wisdom of drinking either coffee or tea regularly. Xanthines stimulate the central nervous system. While stimulating the nervous system it alleviates drowsiness and fatigue. Facts about coffee: Coffee sharp

All Systems Go

Getting ready for big games is a part of the exciting life of a sports person. And if that is not so, you will agree that life demands that we get prepared for some sort of battle, even if it does not let us know pre-hand. Get Ready! That word, phrase, whatever you may call it, gets me bothered. Perhaps it is the after thought answer…For what? That even sends shivers down my spine. There is no single day that does not amount to an activity, better yet gives that sudden day to get ready for complexities. Regardless of the occupation one takes, we all need that special diet and exercise to get ready. Ready--- to go the extra mile. Competitions are inevitable in a sports person’s life. Besides the thrill of a game is the ‘Win’ or the ‘Loose’ part. That thrill should justify why men prefer to start with the backside of the paper instead of the front page of the National Newspaper. So how do you go about the psychological and physical preparations of a competition? ·          All in the

Growing Younger

Am only but in my Twenties and I realize that I am not growing any younger. Each day that comes along is only but a reminder that my time is numbered. So lately I have come into the habit of reversing time. It is a little out of the norm of everyday living. But hey at least I can say goodbye to aging like a time bomb---Waiting to explode. So what have I resorted to doing? Think Clearly As a young person life can be turbulent. You are always waging war with someone or with yourself. Nobody really wants to be with a sad, angry young individual that cannot take control of their lives. Clear thoughts have built nations. If you want to keep with yourself learn to open up. This is done by clarity of thought. Think pure, happy thoughts. Plan to avoid last minute huffs if they implant crazy beliefs and a sense of hopelessness. For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he according to Proverbs 23:7 But am not preaching religion, there is some truth to it. Try it! Listen to your body
