A few changes that can help you get rid of the weight...

Yesterday, I spoke to a long lost friend. We talked about life, her children and career. Her weight however was not making her happy and was bringing a drain to everything around her. I felt her pain and I realized that food information is still amiss in our society.

Anyone who knows me very well will tell you I dance year in - year out. I teach classical ballet and when not in studio, I am running my business or covering news in health, agriculture and societal development affairs.

Last year was very busy for me. I went back for higher education to do my masters degree in international relations. For an exact year and half I did not dance. I was busy studying, working on assignments and sitting through lectures. Over this period I have lost twelve kilos without much effort. So what did I do different?

For starters I changed how I eat. I walked a whole lot and I breathed in fresh air. My favorite place to spend my leisure time was by the sea and walking through the woods. Today, I love my new body, my new space and my new peace of mind.

In the morning I would have a glass of fresh pure water, followed with fruit of my choice and either a cup of tea or coffee. During my snack break I would drink water as much as I'd like and a fruit. At lunch time I would have a large salad and a piece of fish or chicken. For my afternoon tea break, I would have a slice of cake over the weekend and during the week a biscuit. For dinner I would have fresh bread that does not have sugar and other additives and as much soup as possible. Before I knew it, I was no longer hungry. I would then have plenty of cups of herbal teas and water however I pleased up until I slept.

Now, that is the truth of where all the twelve kilograms disappeared to without much effort. Instead, if anything food became my hero and now my medicine. Never have I felt happier and lighter and above all ready to resume dancing in my new healthier and re-energized body.
