A few changes that can help you get rid of the weight...

Yesterday, I spoke to a long lost friend. We talked about life, her children and career. Her weight however was not making her happy and was bringing a drain to everything around her. I felt her pain and I realized that food information is still amiss in our society. Anyone who knows me very well will tell you I dance year in - year out. I teach classical ballet and when not in studio, I am running my business or covering news in health, agriculture and societal development affairs. Last year was very busy for me. I went back for higher education to do my masters degree in international relations. For an exact year and half I did not dance. I was busy studying, working on assignments and sitting through lectures. Over this period I have lost twelve kilos without much effort. So what did I do different? For starters I changed how I eat. I walked a whole lot and I breathed in fresh air. My favorite place to spend my leisure time was by the sea and walking through the woods. Tod...

The Daily Quote...

" A job will keep you. Passion will sustain you. Today stop job hunting and start passion hunting."

Olive Tree

I found an olive tree I found laughter I found sweet scents I found an olive tree With a sage green With a gold trunk I found an olive tree Other trees lay Little trees alike I found an olive tree Beautiful with the sunshine kissing through her A true inspiration I found an olive tree Hope for a tomorrow The aroma of a forever I found an olive tree Something good will happen Something good to you, to me, we, to all of us - if we find the olive tree.

My Promise...

We did not have much We made castles in the sky We fought battles strong and high He is my promise When the wind was up against us. When we did not have our baskets full When we could drive to the depths of the bells of death There he was -my promise I have climbed many hills and walked on many heels Painted on different canvas Painted hopes and dreams Yet he is my promise The tale goes on Ever so complex Yet so easy That's the promise Like a tomorrow A brooke of fresh water There will he find me And that's my promise

Life's Lessons in my Accordance...

Be easy, subtle yet assertive. You don't have to be rude to prove a point. Show up...Be it you want to do that 'project' or you are 'late' simply show up and get the job done. Bring something to the table...Bring ideas, charisma, whatever you may. Never show up empty handed and expect everyone to fill your cup. Laugh out loud or Reflect in loud...learn to reflect on your answers a little as well as what others say. Words shape you. Share good virtues...The world today is full of hurting people, try and give all a break and practice your good manners. Be an example and talk less...Listen and act more. See more, do more... 'Hope' and while you are at it give us some action. Pray, Meditate-find a connection of sorts. Live with something green in your house and take care of something green. Trust me, you will learn a lesson or two. Copyright.Trony Ingati | Amsterdam Zuid

Your Basket of Shopping...

Buying in season is good for you.   1. You get to benefit the local farmers who have produce available for that particular season.   2. You save more pennies since you have more in your pocket.   Fruits in Season, why not try: Strawberries Melons Limes Lemons Cherries Grapes Mangoes Apples Any other...   Vegetables in season, do try: Spinach Rucola The lettuce family The Onion family   Other a must try products:  Coconut water Ginger Ale Elderflower tea Plain soya/plant yogurt   I cannot over emphasis my current love for my shopping basket.  It is my hope you too will jot some of your favorites from this list and together we embark on a healthy seasonal habit. Enjoy!

The Devil called 'Yesterday'

Yesterday I got lost Originally I was destined somewhere As I looked round The more I got lost I found myself on a street This street looked strange It was so far off Far off the road The road of intention The road of attention The road had festering worms It's smell appalling It's inhabitants in short dresses Men who greeted and I could not respond I did not know their language I did not sing their tune I got off from that road Took a detour A boy with a bicycle swung past me His basket carrying two soft drinks Both fell to the ground I whispered 'sorry' He went his way And I promised  to say a prayer I wondered to myself How many live a life undeserved How many know not tomorrow Watch them Say a prayer for them They need it Perhaps more then I Perhaps more then you Talk of selling your soul to the devil The real devil is you!
