Growing Younger

Am only but in my Twenties and I realize that I am not growing any younger. Each day that comes along is only but a reminder that my time is numbered.
So lately I have come into the habit of reversing time. It is a little out of the norm of everyday living. But hey at least I can say goodbye to aging like a time bomb---Waiting to explode.
So what have I resorted to doing?
  1. Think Clearly
As a young person life can be turbulent. You are always waging war with someone or with yourself. Nobody really wants to be with a sad, angry young individual that cannot take control of their lives. Clear thoughts have built nations. If you want to keep with yourself learn to open up. This is done by clarity of thought. Think pure, happy thoughts. Plan to avoid last minute huffs if they implant crazy beliefs and a sense of hopelessness. For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he according to Proverbs 23:7
But am not preaching religion, there is some truth to it. Try it!
  1. Listen to your body
The body is amazing in every sense. When it cannot take the junk and crap fed to it, strives to get it out. The body acts more like a computer, garbage in garbage out (GIGO)! How the body chooses to eliminate junk is through throwing up, skin out breaks and weight loss or weight gain. So do not be fooled the body’s mechanisms are very sophisticated. Therefore, when you are not certain about certain foodstuffs that is body telling you a big ‘NO WAY’ Just obey it. If you get thirsty, drink up to your fill. Simply learn to listen to your body.
  1. Cleanse your body
A story is told of this young couple that had a very beautiful house. Everyone admired the floor and much emphasis was put on it. Everyone who visited the couple commented on what a lovely shinny floor the couple had. Until one day they noticed the floor collapsing and Alas! They discovered they had a third party to eliminate---The termites.
I question many at times how many people see them as healthy until they break down with some ailment or a disease of sorts.
Dr.Walker, author of Vibrant Health states in his book, “The most gorgeous luscious appearing apple will shock you if you cut it in half and find worms and rot in the core. The human body is no exception. Appearance alone is not an indication of health and certainly not of vibrant health.
So how do you go about cleansing your inside?
·         Drink lots of water (2 to 3 liters of water)
·         Drink different kinds of vegetable and fruit juices
·         Quit alcohol intake or minimize it
·         Forget those cigarettes
·         Fast whenever you can
These are just but a few helpful ideas that will leave your body feeling fresh and healthy.

  1.  Be that picky eater.
Most of all the tasty foods are fried and more oily than the healthy stuff. But the truth of the matter is that you have to learn to eat the fresh organic foods. These foods are right from the ground. They contain no preservatives and are absolutely tasty and filling.

  1. Drink up

  1. Keep Good Company

  1. Have peace within you

Lastly, one of my favorite authors Dr. N.W. Walker once said that, you are what you eat, think and as old as you are is only but a bunch of clichés. If that is so than you have the power to grow younger by the day…Prove me wrong!

J C Leroux Wine Tasting : A Delight!

Good events are a rare case in Nairobi, not to forget a good drink. Willam Soklin, a  New York wine merchant once said, " What is  the definition of good wine? It should start  and  end with a smile." True to that saying, the wine was plenty and delightful at the J C Leroux wine tasting held at Alliance Francaise yesterday, 10th May,2012. The  wine tasting  courtesy  of J C Leroux  Sparkling Wine  from Distell Winemasters opened the 21st  European Film Festival at Alliance Francaise with participating countries including: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Serbia & Switzerland.   Below are  the sights and sounds of  the crowd and the wine, J C Leroux in sweet and dry variants that  paired up with the all sorts of cheeses and made the cocktail worth the while. It Has Been A Long While...

I do like my blog! However, I must confess, I abandoned it for a long while. So, maybe I can turn a new leaf and go back to writing? Hmm... Well, I will give it a shot. There is a whole lot to talk about, so let us get to it, shall we? " Don't Just Sit There. Do Something!" You see, I like to see businesses and people thrive. Their pain becomes my pain; their hurdles mine too. If it weren't so, why would I wake up aspiring for that morning sunshine, driven by their ambitions, teamed up with a necessity for the great pursuit. For whom; for what? Is it to be up held by the gentle relief, an ounce of 'better.' In wrapping these meandering good yet defined thoughts, I have come to the dear conclusions to roll-up sleeves of my own and all those who will and get involved. "Don't just sit there. Do something." I am reminded of that common wall paper that sits pretty in the washroom that were. If you will, manners and duty awaits.

Amazing
