‘God’s Search for Man’

When the Lord our God created the world he made man last before he took a break. Man seems to have held a special significance to him. Man represents his image. In his image are tangible qualities. Some of what we relate to in our senses such as touch, hearing, sight, smell and taste. Love, kindness, trust, anger, disgust and other qualities that are based on the emphasis of feeling are still part of God’s being.
Out of all the beings God has ever made non share his likeness. I tend to think that God was not searching for man. Instead he was searching for himself in man.
When God made man he made him from the dust of the universe and breathed upon him life. That life was his existence, his path and most of his entire mission in life. And that in a sense was his goal. But a part from that, God wanted to see his qualities executed in the daily lives of his people (Man).
Once men chose to disobey God they were punished. But that never stopped God from looking for man. God Almighty had mastered his game plan. And in a phenomenal manner he still found himself in the womb of an untouched teenager and chose to manifest himself to man kind. Perhaps he realized that man may have a problem accepting him for what he is… ‘The King of kings and The Lord of lords’ instead he came down as a humble baby born to earthly parents to start his great commission---making many disciples. But, why? --- He was still looking for himself in the very men he created. In the quest to find those with his qualities--- A people that worship him in spirit and in truth.
