Taking care of your teeth and gums

1.   Just the other day i sat in an old smelly matatu next to an individual with an over powering body odour.
2.  I could not  take  it and  every  passanger on board had their   nose  pointed  to the little  windows  trying to gasp for  to air like a drowing man.
3.  It dawned on me that good looks do not make one embrace personal hygine as a prioriety and just may be i would have taken the opportunity to tell him in a polite manner that he ought to uphold good oral hygine.
4.  If i came across him i would say
Sir hello… kindly brush your teeth twice a day with quality toothpaste.
I like the way you are dressed… so flossing in between the teeth should be manditory   because it will make me notice you more.
Do you know the man with the white coat…he is called a dentist…perhaps you could visit him on a regular basis for check ups and cleaning
Cut down on sugary foods and drinks and eat more of the bananas that you like munching on in this matatu and throwing its peels anywhere and everywher!
Do not smoke nor drink alchol…for if you cared to look at all of us in the matatu… you will see that our contenance is cringed up and we are trying so hard to make it to our destination so that fresh air can be for us our entire portion.
And should you see any stick black substance on your teeth…that is called plaque and that within due time will lead to tooth decay.
And one last thing…when brushing your teeth…take the bristles back and forth to each tooth
brush gently down your gumline
Brush your toungue and change your tooth brush every 3 months…
On second thoughts i would be shy to tell all this to a total stanger! Nonetheless…oral hygine should be embraced by all!

J C Leroux Wine Tasting : A Delight!

Good events are a rare case in Nairobi, not to forget a good drink. Willam Soklin, a  New York wine merchant once said, " What is  the definition of good wine? It should start  and  end with a smile." True to that saying, the wine was plenty and delightful at the J C Leroux wine tasting held at Alliance Francaise yesterday, 10th May,2012. The  wine tasting  courtesy  of J C Leroux  Sparkling Wine  from Distell Winemasters opened the 21st  European Film Festival at Alliance Francaise with participating countries including: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Serbia & Switzerland.   Below are  the sights and sounds of  the crowd and the wine, J C Leroux in sweet and dry variants that  paired up with the all sorts of cheeses and made the cocktail worth the while. The Woman...you ought to love. from my book,Letting Go!

Women are beautiful, their charm is ever inviting. Their innocence is intact even at the age of 40. It somewhat feels that their souls are inhabited by ‘a little girls spirit’- Amidst it all they follow into the hunted hands within an aim of a pointed arrow. Women hence require three A’s. Attention, Affirmation, Affection. These words are not mine. They are from the spirit of Joep. Joep is a voice of lady reason. He speaks and the still heart of the lady listens. The lady in a sense is me. But steps to understanding this Lady are hard cracking mathematics. So I urge you to kindly read her writing. Joep says a lady needs ‘Attention’….... Attention is expressed by listening to her noticing her and complimenting her. Joep says a lady needs Affirmation. Tell your lady, you love making love to her. Say it! Don’t stop saying what you mean and feel. Joep says show your lady Attention. Study your lady. You know what she likes right? Then do exactly that, love her to bits. Bring h

My memories of you are vivid, Days have gone by and I am learning to miss you, Dearly beloved--Father of mine. Life is teaching me to be grateful, Stars keep shinning my way, Laughter echo's away. You hold the keys to my life, I just want you to know, That I now have peace in my heart. You were there when I had my first kiss, You were there when I graduated, And you were there when LOVE become who I am. I love you Daddy I love you Daddy You are a lifetime of my many kisses. xx
