Getting your baby to sleep after one long day is a nightmare.
Many parents go wrong by not emphasizing how important it is to have their little ones sleep. For example if your baby should be in bed by 8pm…then do so…put them to bed. Make sure they sleep immediately.
Should you change your babies sleep pattern to sleeping whenever is convenient…then your baby is likely to ape that habit and that will keep them awake.
Not meeting your babies bedtime, skipping nap times only leads to poor quality of sleep and one tired child and parent.
So if you are a new parent and want to introduce the habit of good sleep habits, remember you should practice consistency by making sure you put your baby to sleep when the are drowsy.
You could also teach your baby to sleep, by giving them a little stuffed animal or teddy that they can hold on to.
And if possible give your baby their own bed and room by the time they are 2 years of age.
Lastly, invest in baby decore, such as colorful material and make sure the room is warm and cosy, so that your baby can look around and feel a sense of security and most of all sleep.
By doing this… you are set to put a permanent solution to your sleepless nights!
Another bad habit is allowing your baby to fall asleep while nursing or bottle feeding.
This brings about the tendency of your baby waking up abruptly expecting to have another bottle of milk or nursing.
